Ann M. Sweeney
Born and raised in Roundup, Ann Sweeney has lived her entire life in Montana, the last 37 years in Columbus. She is a self-taught artist whose subjects include the beautiful lakes, mountains and plains found in Big Sky Country.
Her paintings reflect the history of Montana—dilapidated homestead buildings, antiques, old train depots, western artifacts and pastoral scenes. Other favorite subjects include cowboy life, horses, and native Americans, all of which tell of Montana’s rich cultural background. Many of her paintings are available as note cards and postcards.
Ann has participated in several quick draws in Absarokee, Red Lodge and Billings (Pro Rodeo Hall and Wall of Fame). Her paintings have been included in group shows in Red Lodge, Big Timber, Columbus and Cody, Wyoming.
Currently her paintings are displayed at Red Lodge Furniture Store, Carbon County Depot Gallery, Museum of the Beartooths and Montana Gifts in Columbus.
