Dan started snapping pictures in the '70s with various film cameras. In 1979, he began a career as a police officer, taking collision and crime scene photos for several decades. Detail and untouched accuracy mattered most in the photos he produced. By the end of his criminal justice career, Dan sought to instead capture the beauty and wonder in the world around us rather than the depravity or despair of mankind. In his galleries, you will not see street photos or journalistic style pictures. Hopefully, however, you will find emotion, form and beauty in the places, people and things represented herein.
