Peggy Lynn is a Montana girl who grew up drawing horses and people of the West. She graduated from Rocky Mountain College in Billings with an art major. Shortly after graduating, she moved to Red Lodge, MT where she has resided since. Peggy's first love is batik, which she learned in college. Her batiks are pictures, often framed or stretched. The translucent light of dye into fabric continually draw her in, and she emphasizes light and color in her work. Peggy also works in acrylic, again with an emphasis on color, mainly using the subjects of children and animals. In both batik and painting, evoking an emotion is more important to Peggy than absolute realism. Peggy exhibits at Carbon County Arts Guild, Two Rivers Gallery in Big Timber, MT and Cody Country Art League in Cody, WY. You may also find her at the Labor Day Arts Fair in Red Lodge.
