View art by plein air artists from across the state of Montana who are members of the Montana Painters Alliance. Two times a year the MPA group of over 30 artists select a location in Montana to paint on site. Once back in the studio, the studies or paintings created plein air style are used as inspiration for additional work.
The Red Lodge area was chosen in 2018 as a location for the MPA artists to paint. A show of their work was scheduled for June 2020. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic of 2020, work from this paint-out will be on view in an exhibition September 3-30, 2021. Some of the MPA artists provided work from that paint-out for this online show.
