X-WR-CALDESC:Communities West V is the fifth iteration of a biennial exchan
 ge co-curated by Andrew Rice and Sukha Worob. The folio was created with t
 he intention of building community among printmakers living in\, or with u
 nyielding ties to the Western United States. As members of the Western pri
 ntmaking community\, they each have a vested interest in reinforcing the p
 rintmaking community. The folio\, through organically built additions to t
 he group\, provides a lens into the state of printmaking in the West.\n\nF
 or this fifth iteration of the project\, participants from the first four 
 folios were asked to participate again. The original list of participating
  artists is here with those who have been added over the years. Work repre
 sented in the folio is rich and varied in technique and concept. This grou
 p is made up of veteran and emerging printers\, academics\, and working ar
 tists who are as diverse as the work they created for the exhibition.\n\nT
 he Communities West V exhibition was juried down from 74 to 30 artists' wo
 rks by Jen Garcia\, a current copywriter\, former art historian\, and fore
 ver lover of printmaking. The traveling exhibition was organized by Sukoh 
 Worob and Andrew Rice through the Montana Art Gallery Directors Associatio
 n (MAGDA). It's first stop is at the Carbon County Arts Guild & Depot Gall
 ery in Red Lodge where the folio of prints will be on view February 24 thr
 ough March 26\, 2022. \n\nArtists included in the exhibition are: Marty Az
 evedo\, Joey Behrens\, Laura Bigger\, Haylee Canonico\, Emmalea Chan\, Tod
 d Christensen\, Marne Elmore\, Nicole Geary\, Rachel Hancey\, Heather Hust
 on\, Abe Kimball\, Karl LeClair\, Amanda Lee\, Hilary Lorenz\, Linda Lyke\
 , Johanna Mueller\, Calli Nissen\, Marnie Powers-Torrey\, Nathaneal Read\,
