 llery.  'Dark Sky Visions' features seven notable artists with amazing pho
 tographic work of the night skies. Artists include John Ashley (Rio Rico\,
  AZ)\, Jeremy Battles (Red Lodge\, MT)\, Mervin D. Coleman (Red Lodge\, MT
 )\, Mark S. Moak (Billings\, MT)\, Heidi Pinkerton (Hibbing\, MN)\, Ben Sh
 erman (Billings\, MT)\, and Dave Shumway (Sheridan\, WY). \n\nEach artist 
 hopes their night time inspired imagery will bring awareness and encourage
  people to understand the importance of protecting our skies from light po
 llution. In addition\, the artists hope to educate the public about the wo
 rk being done locally by the Red Lodge Dark Skies committee to make Red Lo
 dge a designated International Dark Sky Community. \n\nOPENING RECEPTION: 
 Saturday\, January 7\, 2023 / 4-6 p.m. / 5 p.m. is a Gallery Talk by 'Dark
  Sky' artists. This event is free and open to the public. Refreshments wil
 l be courtesy of the Red Lodge Dark Skies committee and the Carbon County 
 Arts Guild. \n\nThis exhibition is sponsored by the Carbon County Arts Gui
 ld & Depot Gallery which is supported in part by grants from the Montana A
 rts Council\, the Coal Tax Trust Fund for Cultural and Aesthetic Projects\
 , and the National Endowment for the Arts.\n\nThe Carbon County Arts Guild
  & Depot Gallery provides access to art\, supports artistic expression\, a
 nd encourages creative experiences for the  enrichment of our communities.
