Proposals for solo or group shows can be submitted throughout the year. The Exhibition Search and Review Committee reviews proposals the first Wednesday of the month in March, April, June, September and December.
This checklist provides the information necessary to submit a proposal:
Date of Submission
Contact information (include name, address, city, state, telephone number, email address)
Preferred Gallery - Main Gallery or North Gallery
Minimum of five (5) quality photographs representative of the artwork proposed for the exhibition. Photos needs to be submitted on CD, flash drive or with the email submission.
Artist Statement (information about your work to give the viewer an understanding of the work)
Resume (include past exhibition list if shown before)
Biography (a short narrative about where the artist was born, career, first interested in art, art training if any, degrees)
For artists that wish to have a group exhibition, each participating artist needs to submit the above information. Contact the Executive Director prior to completing the application process for additional guidance.
Self-addressed envelope/padded mailer with sufficient postage for return of proposal. Proposals received without return envelope and sufficient postage will be destroyed.
It is strongly recommended that all the artwork in an exhibition be for sale. The Arts Guild receives a 40% commission for all sales. Since the Arts Guild works closely with area schools, work of a violent or sexual nature cannot be accepted.
