In spite of the perception of fragility, women of grace, grit and beauty are often seen on horseback participating in ranch events. The combination of this woman’s vibrant, shocking pink shirt and silver hoop earrings along with her focused gaze as she prepares to rush into the fray when her support is needed creates the story of Women in the West. It’s near sundown, with the sun very low on the horizon. Hot colors are forming on everything in the arena, including her shirt and face, and are exaggerating the intensity of her focus as she waits for the signal to charge forward in support of her team.
