Annual grants and donations to the Carbon County Arts Guild have supported art education programs to rural schools and residents at local senior living facilities. For example, the Tippet Rise Fund of the Sidney E. Frank Foundation has enabled the Guild to pay for an art teacher in some of our rural schools giving the students consistent exposure to the visual arts. Additionally, private contributions help Guild staff provide art programs for all age groups.
Worthy to note: September through December 2022 the Carbon County Arts Guild in Red Lodge was selected to host the Montana Arts Council Montana Artrepreneur Program (MAP) cohort. This state organized program offers artists a way to develop their art careers with a professional artist as coach and peer support. Each year MAP is hosted by a different community in the state.
