Rocky Mountain Regional Juried Exhibition

The 2026 Rocky Mountain Regional Juried Exhibition is on view April 3-27, 2026 at the Carbon County Arts Guild & Depot Gallery.

Saturday, April 11, 2026 from 2-4 p.m. the public is invited to attend the reception for the exhibition. At 3 p.m. we will announce the juror's top three winners as well as honorable mentions.

From 170 submissions the juror, Barbara McNab selected 58 pieces. Mediums represented include oil, watercolor, gouache, and acrylic paint as well as ink, charcoal, fiber art, and collage. Artists with work in the exhibition are: iANOTY Art, Kallie Audet, Maggie Bassett, Megan Beavers DVM, Terry Bensch, Evelyn Bergeron, Joanne Bornong, Meagan Boschert, Teresa Brown, Joyce Bruursema, Noel Carmack, Liz Chappie-Zoller, Dwight Cushman, Kathy Davies, Rebecca Fiske, Diane Greenwood, Bonnie Zahn Griffith, Connie Herberg, Dave Kewitt, Michael Koski, Tess Lehman, Cody Ling, Miguel Martinez, Judith McMurray, Mike McRann, Christine Mullaney, Diana Mysse, Eileen Nistler CPSA CPX, Lindi O'Brien, Reagan Pierce, Lynn Shield, Shirley Shirley, Marie Shirley-Jones, Robert Tompkins, Victoria Wetsch, Charlene Anne Wilson, Tom Wolfe, Gay Young, and Dana Zier.

The juror, Barbara McNab, is a graduate of Washington University School of Fine Arts in St. Louis and immediately began her curatorial career at the prestigious Saint Louis Art Museum in 1980. She has since worked in the art field as a gallery curator and as a fine arts museum Executive Director with her most recent position as Curator of Exhibitions at The Brinton Museum in Big Horn, Wyoming. She has been with The Brinton Museum for more than 12 years and "officially" retired in May 2025, but continues in a part-time capacity to assist with curatorial endeavors. Ms. McNab has worked with numerous art institutions as a juror, consultant, guest lecturer, and exhibitions designer and embraces the remarkable life and culture of the beautiful American West. She and her husband, Huntley, live in Sheridan, Wyoming.

This exhibition is organized by the Carbon County Arts Guild & Depot Gallery which receives additional support from coal tax placed into Montana's Cultural and Aesthetic Projects Trust Fund.
