Rocky Mountain Regional Juried Exhibition

The Rocky Mountain Regional Juried Exhibition is organized by the Carbon County Arts Guild & Depot Gallery. Art selected for the exhibition is on view March 1-30, 2024 in the main and north gallery.

The opening reception is 3-5 p.m., Saturday, March 9 with the announcement of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners for sculpture and 2-dimensional work at 4 p.m. Artists participating in this exhibition include Abby Lindstrom King, Maggie Bassett, Joanne Bornong, Teresa Brown, Richard Burke, Barbara Butler, Kathy Davies, JC Dye, Michelle Ellen, Thomas English, Melissa Getz, Diane Greenwood, Eleanor Guerrero, Carol Hartman, Connie Herberg, Kathi Holzer, Kathleen Houseman, Betina Johnson, Willis Johnson, KC Kern, Michael Koski, Tess Lehman, Reagan Linde, Barbara Lunger-Switzenberg, Brian Maly, Suz Matthews, Joanna McCoy, Judith McMurray, Mike McRann, Barbara Mitchell, Leigh Morrison, Lindi OBrien, Pat Olding, Kate Oltmann, Susan Owens, Karen Petrovich, John Potter, Janet Rawlings, Stephanie Rose, Lynn Shield, Scott Snarr, Judy Sprague, Jessie Swimeley, Lou Taylor, Robert Tompkins, Dorci Newman Tremblay, James Vincent, BR Walker, Shirle Wempner, Victoria Wetsch, Charlene Anne Wilson, Ryan Wise, Tom Wolfe and Dana Zier.

The juror for the 2024 RMRJE is Bonnie Zahn Griffith. A painter and educator, Griffith paints on location throughout the US and teaches workshops on plein air techniques and the art of pastel painting. Griffith’s work has been included in the 2019 and 2020 Timeless Legacy – Women Artists of Glacier Park invitational exhibition featuring work by 25 nationally renowned women artists at the Hockaday Museum of Art in Kalispell, Montana.

A special thanks goes out to the 2024 Rocky Mountain Regional Juried Exhibition sponsor, the Red Lodge Area Community Foundation. We also thank the Roosevelt Center's donation for the cash awards given to the 1st Place sculpture and 1st Place two-dimensional artists.

This exhibition is organized by the Carbon County Arts Guild & Depot Gallery which is supported in part by grants from the Montana Arts Council, the Coal Tax Trust Fund for Cultural and Aesthetic Projects, and the National Endowment for the Arts.
