THE TIPPING POINT: Paintings by Carol Hartman

Art by Carol Hartman will be featured in the north gallery of the Carbon County Arts Guild August 30-September 28, 2025.

Coming from a rich background in extremely rural northern Montana along the Missouri River, Carol’s large colorful oil paintings reflect upon the remoteness, the hardships, and the struggles of early Montanans. Hartman’s attempt to capture a way of life that has vanished forever has resulted in three major art series… homesteads, riverboats, and the Rocky Mountains.

The opening reception is FRIDAY, AUGUST 29, from 5-7 p.m. Enjoy light refreshments. This event is free and open to the public. If you are unable to attend the opening reception, stop by the Depot Gallery, Monday September 1, during the Labor Day Arts Fair to visit with the artist.

This exhibition is organized by the Carbon County Arts Guild & Depot Gallery which receives additional support from coal tax placed into Montana's Cultural and Aesthetic Projects Trust Fund.
