During the opening reception for Broad Spectrum, art quilting demonstrations will take place.
At 3 p.m. Maggy Rozycki Hiltner will present a short gallery talk.
The Broad Spectrum 2020 exhibition features art quilts from members of the Studio Art Quilt Associates (SAQA) Montana/Idaho region. The pieces are an amazing display of color, texture, hand stitching, and composition. Sarah Justice, Paris Gibson Square Museum of Art Executive Director, juried the work submitted for Broad Spectrum, which was coordinated by Maggy Rozycki Hiltner and Montana State University Billings, Northcutt Steele Gallery.
If you miss the opening reception, visit the Carbon County Arts Guild Sunday, March 26 from 1-3 p.m. for art quilt demonstrations and a gallery talk by Christine Mullaney at 2 p.m. These events are free and open to the public.
This exhibition is sponsored by the Montana Art Gallery Directors Association (MAGDA), a statewide service organization for non-profit museums & galleries, and supported in part by grants from the Montana Arts Council, a state agency funded by the State of Montana; coal severance taxes paid based upon coal mined in Montana and deposited in Montana's Cultural and Aesthetic Projects Trust Fund, and the National Endowment for the Arts.
