Up Close and Personal, Paintings by Janet Moczar-Buti
Janet Moczar-Buti is a Livingston, Montana artist whose wildlife work clearly brings the viewer up close to see the detail. Moczar-Buti grew up in Western Montana where she immersed herself in her surroundings. Being home-schooled Janet was encouraged to explore a variety of outdoor activities including fishing, hiking, and horseback riding. Animals were also a huge part of her childhood and she spent many hours drawing them. Her love for art continued to grow and develop, but like a lot of people, Moczar-Buti jumped into the “real” world juggling a desk job, marriage, and three wonderful children.
Through it all Janet Moczar-Buti continued to paint and develop her artistic skills by entering shows across the country. It was in her 40s when Janet decided to leave her desk job to pursue being a full-time artist. She says: “I know that I am on this planet to create art, and share with others, nature at its finest. To help people recognize the beauty that surrounds them and to further its conservation, so that those who come after us can enjoy it as well.”
The Carbon County Arts Guild is please to show this solo exhibition of work by Janet Moczar-Buti December 3, 2020 through January 15, 2021. We are free and open to the public 12-4 p.m., Thursday through Monday.
