Beginning Drawing w/John Kennedy
Join instructor John Kennedy to explore the fundamentals of sketching and develop your drawing skills.
We will explore:
• Basic sketching supplies and how to use them.
• Basic sketching principles including Line, Shape, and Proportion.
• Identifying shapes for improved drawing skills.
• The basics of Perspective.
• Value and how to create depth and dimension to your sketch with shading and hatching.
• How light affects objects and how to capture that in a sketch.
• The basics of composition to make your sketches interesting.
$25 for Guild members, $30 for non-members
Limited to 10 people, no experience needed
Please bring a sketchbook, all other supplies provided.
NOTE: If you have your own drawing supplies, please feel free to bring them! You will need the following:
2h, hb, 2b, 4b drawing pencils, an art or kneaded eraser and a favorite sketching pen.
